Η ASUS μόλις ανακοίνωσε τη σειρά Zenfone 4 σε εκδήλωση στην Ταϊβάν, όπως είχε υποσχεθεί. Αυτή περιλαμβάνει το Zenfone 4 και το Zenfone 4 Pro με διπλές πίσω κάμερες και το Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro και το Zenfone 4 Selfie με διπλές μπροστινές κάμερες. Όλα έχουν unibody μεταλλική κατασκευή, φακό ευρείας γωνίας 120 μοιρών για την μπροστινή κάμερα και αισθητήρα δακτυλικών αποτυπωμάτων στο μπροστινό μέρος. Παρουσίασε επίσης το Zenfone 4 Max που παρουσιάστηκε τον προηγούμενο μήνα μαζί με το νέο Zenfone 4 Max Pro στην εκδήλωση.
Η ναυαρχίδα ZenFone 4 Pro διαθέτει πίσω κάμερες στα 12 megapixel με αισθητήρα Sony IMX362, διάφραγμα f/1,7, OIS και χρησιμοποιεί Qualcomm Spectra 180 ISP για γρήγορη εστίαση. Έχει επίσης δευτερεύουσες πίσω κάμερες στα 16 megapixel με αισθητήρα Sony IMX351 για οπτικό ζουμ 2X και συνολικό ζουμ 10X καθώς και εφέ βάθους πεδίου για πορτρέτα και κοντινά χρώματα με θολό φόντο.
Η ASUS είπε ότι τα τηλέφωνα θα κυκλοφορήσουν πρώτα στην Ασία και στη συνέχεια θα επεκταθούν σε άλλες αγορές σε όλο τον κόσμο χωρίς να δώσουν ακριβές χρονοδιάγραμμα για την κυκλοφορία τους.
