Η Yahoo έχει ενημερώσει την εφαρμογή Yahoo Mail για κινητά με πολλές νέες δυνατότητες, ενημερωμένο σχεδιασμό, σύγχρονες γραμματοσειρές και εικονικές κινήσεις αλληλεπίδρασης. Έχει επίσης εισάγει νέα εφαρμογή Yahoo Mail Go για smartphones Android Go Edition με 1GB RAM.
Η εταιρεία δήλωσε επίσης ότι το πρόγραμμα περιήγησης για κινητά χρησιμοποιεί τώρα την ίδια αρχιτεκτονική με τη σύγχρονη desktop tech stack, η οποία αναπτύσσεται στο React και στο Redux.
Η εφαρμογή Yahoo Mail Go έχει μέγεθος μόλις 12MB και διατηρεί τη χρήση της RAM κάτω των 50MB. Η εταιρεία λέει ότι δεν έκανε συμβιβασμούς σχετικά με τα χαρακτηριστικά και τις επιδόσεις στην εφαρμογή Go και χρησιμοποιεί την ίδια ακριβώς αρχιτεκτονική με την τυπική εφαρμογή Yahoo Mail.
